My approach to Brainspotting
I came into contact with Brainspotting when I was looking for a solid trauma processing method. From the beginning, the autonomy of the client appealed to me. The client’s inner self knows best which memory or emotion and also which depth is helpful for processing at that particular moment. I love the fact that through our joint frame-setting and the subsequent silence on the outside, clients can go through their inner processes and thereby trigger profound changes.
What I like about Brainspotting is that I can unpack my entire psychotherapeutic toolbox when needed and support clients in their processes. Brainspotting is a great, flexible tool that can be perfectly adapted to the needs of the client.
This is precisely why I use Brainspotting not only for processing severe trauma. Brainspotting, in my experience, supports the processing of any issue.
