The lecturer will teach the following basics: creative writing processes, how creative writing can support the healing of trauma, and how Brainspotting can initiate and support the writing process, as well as specific Brainspotting applications. She will also include client cases (children, adolescents, adults) and possible applications with writing groups. Three short but powerful experientials are also part of the webinar.
 
WHO IS KRISTY Snedden
Trauma psychotherapist and Brainspotting consultant specializing in Brainspotting with children and adolescents. She has experience working with trauma, attachment, and creativity.
She has a full-time practice in northeast Georgia, treating clients of all ages. She developed and leads Brainspotting Through the Poet's Eye groups for Brainspotting practitioners and writers.
Her poems have been published in various (inter)national online and print journals. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and is a book review editor at Anti-Heroin Chic.

James Diaz is a poet and editor-in-chief of the website Anti-Heroin-Chic, which has been a platform for poetry, photography, artwork, essays, interviews, and more since 2015. However, this online space for often unheard/overheard voices is reserved for collaborators struggling with addiction, mental illness, and prison/detention. The journal has been nominated for "Best of the Net" three times.
